My Talk: Turning Challenges Into Strength — If I Can Do It, So Can You

At a recent event, I had the honor of sharing my personal story — living with Sjögren’s syndrome, a tough autoimmune disease that tries to hold me back every single day. But instead of letting it define me, I chose to fight back by living an extremely health-focused life.

At 60, I’m bench-pressing over 300 pounds and running miles in under seven minutes — things even doctors say shouldn’t be possible for someone with my condition. I say this not to boast, but to prove that with dedication, anything is possible.

I talked about how health is our greatest investment; from getting blood tests to personalizing your vitamins, to clearing toxins from pollution through chelation, I’ve found what truly works for me.

My biggest message? Start your health journey now, especially while you’re young. Look after your body and it will pay you back for a lifetime.

Because if someone like me — fighting an uphill battle every day — can do it, then truly, so can you.
